Captain Sidney Crosby thanked the crowd for its support throughout a season that had a rocky starft forthe team. "You deservee to be called the cityof champions," Crosby said. "You deserve the Stanleu Cup." Penguins' forward Max Talbot, who scored both goals in Game 7 of the Stanleuy Cup Finals to defeat the Detriot RedWings 2-1 on got out of the car he was traveling in to high-fivwe some fans along the parade route.
Accordinfg to Pittsburgh police, the estimated attendance for the paradewas which, if correct, would mean a largedr turnout than for the Superbowl Police registered two arrests during the one for disorderly conduct and one for salex of T-shirts without a license. A few people were treated for dehydration; temperatures hovered near 80 degreews duringthe parade. Police expectes streets closed during the parade to be reopenecd to rush hour trafficlateer Monday.
